BioWare’s Mark Darrah, executive producer on Anthem, has once again been active on Twitter fielding questions from fans about the upcoming shared-world shooter. Of the many questions he has answered, the most interesting piece of information we have received is that Anthem won’t support cross-platform play- “at launch”.
Darrah had similarly confirmed over a month ago that Anthem wouldn’t have cross-progression either, also adding the “at launch” qualifier that time. While there’s nothing to concretely suggest this, the “at launch” might imply that there is a possibility that cross-play and cross-progression might end up being added to the game eventually.
In other separate tweets, Darrah also confirmed that any progress players make in the game’s demo will not be carried over to the full release, while also stating that players will be able to make multiple Freelancers in the game with a single account. Additionally, the chromatic aberration filter in the game can also be turned off.
Anthem is due out on February 22, 2019 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. There is a livestream of the game scheduled for today, so stay tuned to GamingBolt for any new info that comes out of it.
