Anthem Xbox One Players Can Get Around the Suspend Bug with an Unofficial Fix for Now

Until the day one patch arrives, you can use this method to get around the bug.

Anthem launches in full a few days from now, but those with Origin Access and EA Access subscriptions have already been able to get access to the game on PC and Xbox One respectively. As such, issues with the game have been encountered aplenty– one such issue is affecting players who’re playing the game on Xbox One.

Basically, if you suspend the game rather than exiting from it altogether and then return to it later to resume playing, you’ll have trouble reconnecting. The game will be stuck in an attempt to reconnecting to servers endlessly. BioWare, though, are aware of this issue, and lead producer Michael Gamble has taken to Twitter to address it. While the bug hasn’t been officially fixed yet, there is a workaround- just quit out of the game entirely and restart it. Simple as that.

You can, however, probably expect this to be one of the several issues that will be addressed in the game’s day one patch. The patch, in line with Anthem’s global launch, will go live on February 22 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
