Apex Legends Hits 50 Million Players

In less than a month, the free to play battle royale smashes another record.

When Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends launched on February 4th out of the blue, it seemed impossible that it could make much of dent in the market, at least not very quickly. However, within its first week, the free to play battle royale title would hit 25 million players. Roughly a month later, 50 million players have partaken in the madness.

To celebrate the same, Respawn has released a new trailer, thanking fans for their support. It also has a few interesting stats, like how many billions of Ultimates and Pings were triggered, along with some rather sick kills. Protip: Use Pathfinder’s grapple on enemies to drag them to you. It just works.

Respawn Entertainment isn’t done just yet. This month, it will release the game’s first Battle Pass, containing numerous exclusive cosmetics to earn. Recent leaks also indicate that two new Legends are on the way with their own unique skills. Apex Legends is available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC via Origin.
