Apex Legends Mobile Soft Launch is Coming Soon, Respawn Says

Apex Legends Mobile will see a soft launch in select countries soon, with pre-registrations now open. More details will follow later.

Apex Legends is one of EA’s biggest games right now, and it’s no surprise that the company wants to double down on that success and expand into new territories with it. EA has been talking about bringing Respawn Entertainment’s free-to-play battle royale shooter to mobile devices for while, and Apex Legends Mobile was, of course, announced officially roughly a year ago- and it seems the game’s approaching its launch as well.

Respawn Entertainment recently announced on Twitter that Apex Legends Mobile will soon see a soft launch. That will entail a release for the game in specific countries only for now, those being Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand. Android users in these countries can begin pre-registering for the game via the Google Play Store now.

Respawn says more details on when the game will launch in other regions and on iOS will be coming later. Of course, how much later that will be or even when exactly this soft launch is going to happen hasn’t been mentioned. One would assume those details will come soon.

EA and Respawn will both have high hopes for Apex Legends Mobile. The mobile gaming space has become something of a goldmine for free-to-play shooters, with the likes of Call of Duty Mobile, PUBG Mobile, and Fornite raking in massive profits on those platforms. EA itself has Battlefield Mobile in the works as well, while Activision, too, is working on second Call of Duty mobile title.
