Apex Legends Sees Best Month In October Since Title’s Original Launch

The battle royale shooter seems to be doing well.

When Apex Legends launched earlier in the year, it caused quite the splash. It managed to reach some peak numbers, and it looked like there was a new popular battle royale shooter that was about to muscle into the top. But the game saw some big streaming number drops with many wondering how sustainable the title would be in the long run. Well, it seems the game is back on the upswing, at least in regards to revenue, with the October numbers.

According to SuperData, the game generated $45 million from in-game spending in October, which is up from $16 million in-game spending seen the month before. Meaning going from September to October, revenue generated almost tripled. Not only that, that also marks the most successful month the game has had since the original launch month. Makes the decision to have Battlefield skip 2020 to focus on Apex Legends make little more sense.

Apex Legends is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, with mobile versions being planned for the 2021 Fiscal Year.
