Armatus just got an exciting new trailer at the PC Games Show, and it’s a romp through demon-infested territory that’s looking like quite the party for third-person roguelite shooter fans.
The game’s premise of starting strong and ending godly is clearly on display in this one, and its take on a version of Paris where a supernatural rift has transformed the city into a hovel of terrifying beings is looking quite good. Or as good as it can be, considering the circumstances and the horrors that now inhabit it.
If you haven’t been keeping up with this one, it puts you in control of a warrior from a supernatural order who’s summoned by the survivors of this nightmarish hellscape to decimate the demonic ranks and clear a path to salvation. You’re given various guns and a bevy of supernatural abilities that you gradually unlock to aid you in that quest, although your enemies aren’t going to just stand around and wait for your bullets to tear them apart, given how nasty they seem to be in this one.
We liked its demo when we played it earlier this year, and we’re pretty excited for its launch this Winter on PC, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and Nintendo Switch 2.
