New gameplay and details on customization for Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon are available, but that’s not all. FromSoftware previously confirmed multiple endings, and new PlayStation Blog post revealed that players can make decisions which impact the plot.
For instance, one mission allows for either destroying a rebel’s power supply or straight-up slaying them. What consequences emerge remains to be seen, but as players complete missions, they’ll meet new characters and encounter “other little pieces of lore that build up this larger picture of the world around you.”
In addition to the Arena mode, Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon features a “variety of different modes.” These provide “tons of replayability” and allow for pursuing a different path in the story, earning more money or taking on things “in a new style.” The mech combat title is also confirmed to take advantage of the SSD current-gen consoles for fast loading times and the PlayStation 5’s 3D audio for more immersive sound.
Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon launches on August 25th for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5 and PC.
