Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon Guide – Best Builds

The best Armored Core builds in Fires of Rubicon.

There are near infinite possibilities when it comes to assembling a build in Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, even taking into consideration restrictions on power consumption and weight. This AC6 guide will present three suggested Armored Core builds for dominating in both the campaign and PvP.

MEDIUM-LONG ARTILLERY

  • Head: HD-012 MELANDER C3
  • Core: BD-012 MELANDER C3
  • Arms: AR-012 MELANDER C3
  • Legs: LG-012 MELANDER C3
  • R-Arm Unit: HG-003 COQUILLETT HANDGUN
  • L-Arm Unit: HG-003 COQUILLETT HANDGUN
  • L-Back Unit: VE-60SNA STUN NEEDLE LAUNCHER
  • R-Back Unit: Vvc-703PM PLASMA MISSILE LAUNCHER
  • Booster: ALULA/21E
  • FCS: FCS-G2/P10SLT
  • Generator: DF-GN-06 MING-TANG

Built on a cheap, sturdy frame, this dual Handgun mech will stagger exceptionally well without exerting too much EN Load. The Vvc-703PM is effective at multi-locking and setting off plasma explosions on the target. The VE-60SNA direct fire mounted weapon has massive range, and the resultant impact explosion will often one-shot enemies. The FCS-G2/P10SLT has the best long range assist you can hope for at this stage, and couples well enough with the Stun Needle Launcher.

ALL-RANGE ALL-ROUNDER

  • Head: HC-3000 WRECKER
  • Core: CC-3000 WRECKER
  • Arms: AC-3000 WRECKER
  • Legs: 2C-3000 WRECKER
  • R-Arm Unit: VP-66LR LASER RIFLE
  • L-Arm Unit: HI-32: BU-TT/A PULSE BLADE
  • L-Back Unit: Vvc-70PM PLASMA MISSILE LAUNCHER
  • R-Back Unit: EL-PW-01 TRUENO NEEDLE MISSILE LAUNCHER
  • Booster: ALULA/21E
  • FCS: FCS-G2/P10SLT
  • Generator: VP-20D

The Wrecker is a complete set of Frame components that can be found inside of Parts Containers. Armed with both a Laser Rifle for distance engagement, and a Pulse Blade for close combat, this jack-of-all-trades also features The Plasma Missile Launcher in its build due to its cheap but effective homing capabilities. The Trueno Needle Missile Launcher serves to output raw, hard-hitting damage from a distance. The overpowered Generator leaves room for growth and evolution of the build as new unlocks are discovered.

CLOSE-MEDIUM DEVASTATOR

  • Head: HD-012 MELANDER C3
  • Core: DF-BD-08 TIAN-QIANG
  • Arms: DF-AR-08 TIAN-QIANG
  • Legs: DF-LG-08 TIAN-QIANG
  • R-Arm Unit: SG-026 HALDEMAN SHOTGUN
  • L-Arm Unit: SG-026 HALDEMAN SHOTGUN
  • L-Back Unit: VP-60LCS LASER CANNON
  • R-Back Unit: VP-60LCS LASER CANNON
  • Booster: BUERZEL/21D
  • FCS: FCS-G2/P05
  • Generator: VP-20D

A Melander C3 Head on a Tian-Qiang Core and limbs, this AC runs dual Shotguns for maximum stagger output. The chosen long cruise-capable Booster is coupled with a good medium-close assist FCS, enabling a good pilot to circle strafe enemies effectively both in the air and on the ground. For longer ranged engagement, the pair of VP-60LCS Laser Cannons are reliable workhorses. The VP-20D offers plenty of breathing room in terms of power output once upgraded variants of weapon hardpoints are unlocked.

These builds are just three basic loadouts of many hundreds of designs that can be assembled in Armored Core 6. The synergies may not be perfect, but with the sheer depth of selection, no build will ever truly satisfy everyone.
