‘As Long As The Game Is Good, I Won’t Care About Subtle Variations In Resolution or Frame rate’: Dev

Krillbrite Studios’ Adrian Tingstad Husby believes it's the gameplay that matters.

Krillbrite Studios’ Adrian Tingstad Husby has shared his thoughts on the on going resolution and fps debate between Sony and Microsoft’s gaming community. The PlayStation 4 has been able to render most multiplatform games at better resolution and frame rate compared to the Xbox One. But does this matter in the grand scheme of things?

We asked Adrian whether he prefers a better resolution or frame rate. “For me it’s dependent on the game, but in general I’m not an advocate for either above the other,” he said to GamingBolt. “If any one is terrible, it will of course impact your experience, but I care much more about gameplay, aesthetics, and the game itself. As long as the game is good, I won’t care about subtle variations in resolution or frame rate.”

In short, it’s all about the gameplay according to Adrian. And given that most gamers who buy their games regardless of frame rate and resolution specifications, Adrian makes a fair point.
