Assassin’s Creed 3 PC Shipment to Benelux states stolen

Rob a truck?

Benelux states comprises of three countries – Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. According to a report by Entertainment Business, the truck that was carrying the PC copies of Assassin’s Creed 3 was stolen by criminals, but Ubisoft has mentioned that this won’t cause a delay.

They are currently producing more stock, and the serial numbers of the games in the truck are blacklisted and retailers have been notified of the change. People attempting to go online with the stolen copy will be barred from playing the multiplayer.

The PC version was delayed by 1 month and is set to hit Europe on November 23. We’ve reviewed the game and gave it a solid 9/10 score. You can read that over here.

It’s not clear why anyone would steal games this way, but I suppose you can always sell them for cheap to unsuspecting consumers.
