Assassin’s Creed 4 New Details On Cities And Sea Gameplay

Ubisoft are aimin for one ambitious game.

There are some new details on Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag and they are related to the cities and sea gameplay.

“The game really shines when land and sea gameplay are merged! Let’s take Naval Forts. These are locations that you have to battle in the sea, fight against turrets, towers and other ships defending the fort,” game director Ashraf Ismail told Examiner.

“When you breach the defenses of the fort you can let go of the wheel, get on to the land and raid the fort using stealth, navigation and ground fight! And all this happens seamlessly!

“It is really exciting and thrilling to experience this – it is not like anything I’ve ever played before.

He also revealed some new information on the cities in the game.

“The cities are all unique and have their own flavor. Havana is very busy with buildings and landmarks. Streets are tight and roof running is highlighted. It is also beautiful and very European in its flavor. This city was inspired by Venice from ‘ACII,” he said.

“Kingston merges urban and nature. Trees and fauna are intermingled with buildings and streets. It’s a dense environment where you are constantly changing heights in your free running. There is also a country side with rolling hills and incredible vistas. This is the most unique city we have had in the ‘AC’ franchise.

“Finally we have Nassau. The pirate haven. This city is chaotic! Its streets are both wide and narrow. Disorganized and organic. The city is built on slopes so there is a lot of variety in building heights. Nassau is an island so the city is surrounded by gorgeous beaches, sunken ships and Man Of War defenses!”
