Assassin’s Creed 4 has been confirmed for the Wii U and they recently released a box art as well, but the slow sales of the consoles is proving to be a problem for most publishers, and we have seen the fallout out that as Rayman Legends went multiplatform.
Ubisoft boss Yves Guillemot has said that the console needs to sell more and they will be supporting it well: “We think Wii U is a great machine. But it just has to sell more,” he told MCV.
Now this could mean a lot of things, and while the company supported the system with a lot of games at launch like ZombiU, the multiplatform announcement and delay of Rayman Legends shows that the company may be getting frustrated with Wii U sales.
However, the Wii U was just launched a few months ago and Nintendo can turn around the ship, if not, you can always do that in the Wii U version of Assassin’s Creed 4.
