Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Is Partnering With Amazon Echo For A Unique In-Game Information Tool

Alexios, play Skyrim: Very Special Edition.

The Amazon Echo voice assistant Alexa is getting a cool Assassin’s Creed Odyssey-themed twist soon, thanks to Ubisoft’s partnership with the corporation in celebration of the upcoming RPG’s imminent launch. How? They’re doing the utterly obvious (but still somehow surprising), and turning Alexa into Alexios, the game’s male protagonist.

Ubisoft recently released a video that announced that Amazon Echo users will be able to download Alexios, to use in-game as a tool to provide information for any ancient Greece and Odyssey related query you may have. Its uses will go beyond that, though, as Alexios will merge a very Spartan personality with Alexa’s usual prompts. Watch the video below to get a (hilarious) taste of what that’s going to be like.

You can also get a Spartan-themed Amazon Echo, which looks all kinds of cool, but right now, the only way to do so is by entering a contest- you can get more details on it through here.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey launches on October 5 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It recently went gold, and is available for pre-load as well.
