Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is not far away from launch now, and we recently got word that development on the game had officially wrapped up. As its release approaches, the game has now become available to pre-load on Xbox One, which means its pre-load file size has also been revealed.
It’s more or less what you’d expect it to be, weighing 45 GB, though it should be noted that this is without the day one patch that will most definitely be a thing (it very rarely isn’t, in today’s day and age, especially for open world titles). So yeah, that file size isn’t really all that surprising, given how huge and expansive Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is going to be. It’s pretty much what everyone would have expected. Even though we don’t have the numbers for the game’s PS4 version yet, you can expect them to see about the same as its Xbox One version.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey launches on October 5 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Surprisingly, if you’re in Japan (or have a Japanese account), you’ll be able to play it on the Nintendo Switch via cloud streaming as well. Read more on that here.
