Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate has received some new details courtesy of IGN and it seems that the open world of London will be 30 percent larger than Unity. It also seems that Syndicate will be single-player only. Even though you take control of Jacob and Evie Frye through the game, there won’t be any co-op elements.
There will be six boroughs to run through including Westminster, the Strand, the City of London, Whitechapel, Southwark and Lambeth along with the Thames river playing a central role of sorts. Seeing as the Frye siblings inhabit the criminal underworld, there will be various rival gangs to battle and defeat. You can even bring your own for different wars to spread your influence.
Perhaps most intriguingly, the combat will be overhauled to focus more on brawling rather than sword fighting. Since the Industrial Revolution didn’t really make swords an acceptable social practice, you’ll instead rely on switchblades, brass knuckle, kukri knives and handguns.
And even though Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate will be out on October 23rd for PS4 and Xbox One, the PC version is scheduled to release in Autumn 2015.
