Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Guide – How to Defeat the Elk of Bloody Peaks and Find Nickel Ingots

Take down a Legendary Animal and also find materials to upgrade to Flawless gear.

It’s tough enough to take on the mythical foes of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla but you also have to contend with Legendary Animals like the Elk of Bloody Peaks. You’ll find it in the mountains west of Fornburg and as soon as it sees you, the fight will begin. The Elk can slam Eivor with its antlers, kick with its hind legs and also charge. There’s also a runic move because why not?

Avoid getting behind the Elk since it can be hard to predict its kicking. Parry the normal antler attack and either block or dodge its charge. You’ll know when the latter is coming when the Elk’s head flashes red. Keep enough distance when possible and attack with arrows, making sure to parry and stun when its stamina has been reduced. The Elk’s runic move is denoted by a symbol – once that appears, get ready to dodge. Keep this up and it should be defeated.

How to Find Nickel Ingots

Looking to upgrade your Superior gear to Flawlesss level? Nickel Ingots are necessary but they’re very rare in the beginning. Head to East Anglia and scope out the raid locations there. You’ll want to go to King’s Bury and keep an eye out for Ingots on the map. Lunden is also a pretty good location, namely The Temple of Sulis and Ludinium Bureau.

It’s worth noting that farming Nickel Ingots is difficult – they can only be obtained once from different locations. So after finding an Ingot, the next best thing to do is farm Silver. Merchants will sell Ingots for 250 Silver each so it’s worth getting as much as possible and then buying them.
