Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Will Be Composed By Jesper Kyd, Sarah Schachner, And Einar Selvik

An all-star crew will put together the game's epic soundtrack.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is about to enter its marketing campaign blitz, so we’ll be finding out lot about the game relatively soon. Ubisoft is holding a digital event in July, for instance, that the game will almost certainly be at. But it seems as the German uPlay site just can’t wait. Earlier it mentioned the name of the bonus mission you get with the game’s Season Pass, something still not reflected in other regions, and now it’s seemingly revealed the Composers of Valhalla, and it’s an incredible crew.

The German listing of the game’s Collector’s Edition on uPlay revealed that the game will be co-composed by Jesper Kyd and Sarah Schachner, while its origiginal songs are being composed by Einar Selvik. Schachner just composed the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare reboot last year, and has composed on the franchise before, most notably with Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag. Selvik hasn’t done any video game composing work, but he might be pretty familiar with the setting and concept as he worked on the TV series Vikings that also covered some of the same time periods Valhalla will.

Probably the one that raises the eyes of most hardcore fans however is Jesper Kyd. Kyd was the Composer of the original Assassin’s Creed and was Head Composer of the series up until Assassin’s Creed: Revelations. His music has been the defining source for the entire series, so it’s pretty exciting to have him back in a very different era of the franchise.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will launch sometime this holiday for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PC and Stadia.
