Assetto Corsa fans, I have some bad news for you. The release date for the Xbox One and PS4 version has been pushed back until June. The game has been available on the PC for quite a while now but its arrival on current generation consoles has been long awaited. In January, the title was announced as coming in April but now the developer has announced there’s going to be a bit of a longer wait.
If it’s any consolation to those who thought they were only going to have to wait for another month or so, in order to get their hands on the game, 505 says the reason for the delay is just to add more polish. In a recent release the company said they wanted to “ensure the console release delivers the most polished experience for simulation racing fans.”
505 announced that while they were shooting for true HD on the Xbox One, they aren’t going to be able to hit that mark. That doesn’t mean the game isn’t going to look good but it apparently won’t look quite as good as the developers and Assetto Corsa‘s fans had hoped, at least on the Xbox One. Once thought to be coming on April 22, Assetto Corsa is now coming to the Xbox One and PS4 on June 3, 2016.
