Astro Bot recently added the last of five free DLC speedrun levels that were officially unveiled in September, though it looks like developer Team Asobi still has new content waiting in the pipeline that it intends to add to the platformer.
Prior to the aforementioned announcement, the base game’s end credits listed franchises such as Assassin’s Creed, Rayman, Beyond Good and Evil, and Croc: Legend of the Gobbos. The credits have been updated with the game’s most recent DLC drops, and those franchises are still listed, even though Team Asobi and Sony haven’t added any content representing them.
At the same time, as spotted by a Reddit user, the update credits also added the mention of Tomba! Special Edition, suggesting that it and the other aforementioned properties could be represented by future Astro Bot DLC that is yet to be announced.
Shortly prior to Astro Bot’s launch, it was reported that the game would receive at least 15 post-launch levels, which would suggest that Team Asobi does indeed have several levels that it still plans to add to the game. When they will be announced is anyone’s guess, however.
Astro Bot is available on PS5. It sold 1.5 million units in its first 9 weeks. Read our review of the game through here.
