Sony has released its earnings results for Q2 fiscal year 2025, covering the quarter ending on September 30th, and confirmed updated sales numbers for Team Asobi’s Astro Bot. As of November 3rd, it sold over 1.5 million units.

The 3D platformer launched on September 6th for PS5 and sees Astro Bot on a new journey to rescue various crewmates. These range from other Bots to cameos from other PlayStation franchises (and more than a few third-party IPs synonymous with the brand’s rise). Even with dozens of levels to explore and over 300 Bots to rescue, the total playtime is around 12 to 15 hours.

Since its launch, Astro Bot has received extensive acclaim from critics (check out our review here), and it’s currently 2024’s highest-rated game per Metacritic. Team Asobi has added free speed-running stages and new Bots post-launch, including Eve from Stellar Blade and the Helldiver from Helldivers. Four are currently available, with the final level to launch on November 14th
