Babylon’s Fall Has Gone Gold

The development team is currently working on its day one patch but promised new modes for free in post-launch updates.

Square Enix and PlatinumGames confirmed in a recent live stream that Babylon’s Fall has gone gold, roughly two months before its worldwide release. Principle development has wrapped and the title is currently being sent for manufacturing and certification. However, the development team is working on a day one patch as well.

Post-launch updates are currently planned with new game modes to be added for free. Time will tell when the first major new content update will arrive so stay tuned for some kind of roadmap in the coming months. So far, Babylon’s Fall has experienced a mixed reception since its re-reveal last year, and subsequent closed beta testers criticized the aesthetic, gameplay, and server issues.

The development team has been working to correct these and detailed various improvements made in the third closed beta test. The co-op action RPG is currently slated to release on March 3rd for PS4, PS5 and PC. Check out some gameplay from its most recent commercial here.
