After spending nearly three years in early access, the long-awaited Baldur’s Gate 3 is finally mere days away from its full launch, with the PC audience set to be the first to get their hands on the game. And as excitement surrounding the RPG’s launch continues to mount, developer Larian Studios has detailed the precise global launch timings for it.
Baldur’s Gate 3 will have a simultaneous global launch, which means while most of the world will be getting the game on August 3, there will be some regions where it won’t be accessible until the early hours of August 4. In Los Angeles, for instance, the game goes live on August 3 at 8 AM PT, while in Auckland, it’ll be 3 AM on August 4 when that happens. Check out Larian’s tweet below for all the details.
A little over a month on from its PC launch, Baldur’s Gate 3 will also release for PS5 on September 6. Meanwhile, Xbox Series X/S versions are also in the works, but with Larian facing difficulties in trying to get the co-op experience properly optimized for the weaker hardware of Xbox Series S, it’s unknown how long it’ll be before Xbox audiences get their hands on the game. That said, Larian has said it’s still hoping for 2023 release.
