Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 3 Delayed to September 22

Larian Studios says it's going to need an extra day to push out the acclaimed RPG's next patch, which it says is "a big one."

Baldur’s Gate 3 has been one of the brightest highlights of a year that’s had no shortage of excellent new releases, but of course, no game is ever completely devoid of issues. Developer Larian Studios has been fixing the lingering issues in the acclaimed RPG with post-launch hotfixes and patches, and another patch is set to arrive soon- though a bit later than previously planned.

Earlier this month, Larian confirmed that Patch 3 for Baldur’s Gate 3 would be coming on September 21, though the developer has now announced that it will arrive a day layer, on September 22. “Patch 3 is coming, and it’s a big one,” Larian wrote in a Twitter post. “To ensure thorough testing, we’re releasing Patch 3 this Friday, September 22 instead.”

Full details on what the patch will bring will be arriving when the patch itself releases, of course, but Larian has previously confirmed that it will be bringing full support for the game on Mac.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is available on PS5 and PC. It’s also set to launch this year for Xbox Series X/S, with release likely to come by the end of November. Read our review of its PC version through here, and our review of its PS5 release through here.
