Larian Studios’ next major patch for Baldur’s Gate 3 arrives on September 21st, along with full support for Mac. There are no further details on Patch 3’s contents, but it’s expected to include “new technology” to improve performance in Act 3 (which many suspect to be AMD FSR 2.0).
The developer has an extensive list of features it wants to include following fan feedback, like the option to change your appearance mid-game and Photo Mode. Modding support and cross-platform play are also in the works, though they’re likely much further off than other features. Larian is also expanding the Origin Character epilogues, as seen with Karlach’s new ending (though there’s no timeline for the others).
Baldur’s Gate 3 is available for PC and PS5, with an Xbox Series X/S version out later this year (albeit without local split-screen on Series S at launch). Check out the latest animated short celebrating its release out of early access, and stay tuned for more updates.
