Larian Studios has confirmed that actor Maggie Robertson will be playing the role of Orin the Red in Baldur’s Gate 3, as reported by Eurogamer. Robertson will be familiar to fans of video games as she previously played the role of Resident Evil Village antagonist Lady Dimitrescu.
Orin the Red will be a shape-shifting antagonistic figure in the game who will show up throughout a playthrough to test the players.
A host of new details about Baldur’s Gate 3 were revealed this week, including the fact that a standard playthrough of the upcoming RPG will need between 75 and 100 hours.
During a showcase this week, developer Larian released new teaser trailer, while also talking about some of the game’s features. Among other things, players will have access to a maturity slider to adjust a character’s age, and Tiefling characters can customise their horns with different colours. The studio also talked about multi-classing, with some of the more powerful classes only becoming available later in the game.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is coming to PC on August 3, and PS5 on September 6. The game is currently available as an early access title on PC.
