Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is Out Now

DON'T NOD's narrative action RPG is playable on Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC, with the narrative focusing on spirit hunters, Red and Antea.

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, the latest narrative-focused action RPG from DON’T NOD, is available now on PS5, PC and Xbox Series X/S. Set in 1695 North America, it sees two Banishers, Antea and Red, venturing to New Eden, only to face tragedy.

After Antea seemingly dies, she’s revealed to have become a spirit bound to Red. The player must thus choose whether to sacrifice the living to bring her back to life or maintain their Banisher oath and allow her to ascend. Either way, you’ll encounter many cases with morally grey choices and five different endings to unlock.

Combat involves switching between both characters, as Red fights with a saber, firearms and magic, while Antea relies on ethereal magic. The latter can also quickly transport the duo across distances and explore blocked-off sections of the environment. Check out our review here – we gave it an eight out of 10, praising the setting, story, and protagonists, while criticizing the combat and progression.
