The world has had a rather long wait when it comes to Batman: Arkham Knight and that wait is finally coming to an end this Tuesday. The best news of all is that the game appears to be really, really good. The game has been delayed a number of times because the developers and the studio wanted to make sure it lived up to the hype. As members of the media get their hands on copies of the game, it looks like those delays were worth the time and effort.
Ratings on Metacritic.com are allowing Batman: Arkham Knight to post an average over 90. That rating, as of today means there are 17 overwhelmingly positive reviews with just one qualifying as “mixed.” The glowing reviews appear to go along with what people have been expecting when they were watching videos and learning more about the game. At the same time, there are some problems that have been following this game from the very beginning and they appear to continue to be following it. While the title hasn’t been delayed yet again, it is indeed coming out Tuesday, it appears that the Limited Edition version has been pushed back again.
That won’t really bring down the reviews of the game but it does show problems are still surrounding the game. Perhaps that’s one of the reasons Gamespot found something to complain about. On the flipside of that, Polygon gave the game a perfect score. The average puts Arkham Knight right in the middle of the trilogy in far as ratings, with Arkham City getting ratings in the high 90s and Arkham Origins falling well short. In just a few days, you’ll be able to posit your own thoughts on Batman: Arkham Knight because it launches on the PS4, Xbox One and PC on June 23.
