Batman: Arkham Origins Set During Year Two, 1 Vs. 100 Mode

Hard Mode and New Game+ also confirmed.

Speaking to VG247, Warner Bros. Montreal creative director Eric Holmes stated that the upcoming Batman: Arkham Origins would be set in Year Two of the canon’s story. For those who don’t know, Year One was when Batman first entered into crime-fighting. Year Two sees the Dark Knight’s name begin to rise, but he’s still not on the best terms of Gordon and the GCPD. In fact, the police force is corrupt and Gotham is overflowing with crime.

The game will also feature several new additions such as the 1 VS. 100 mode in which Batman or Deathstroke will face off against 100 enemies. Deathstroke’s abilities include a staff, pistols, bombs and of course, his dual swords though he fights slower than Batman. It has also been revealed that there will be a Hard mode and New Game+.

Batman will also use a new Electric Glove for increasing attack damage and breaking through enemy shields, and it can be recharged by beating up shock baton-wielding foes. Batman: Arkham Origins is currently slated to release on October 25th for PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U.
