Gearbox Software’s Battleborn, a first person shooter/MOBA hybrid with a co-op/single player campaign, will be releasing on February 9th 2016 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. There will also be an open beta prior to release with more details to be shared later this year. Four new playable heroes were also revealed at Gamescom.
These included Ambra, a priestess who fights up close while healing allies; Mellka, an assassin with a nerve gas machine pistol and bio-glaive melees; Reyna aka “The Valkyrie” who uses a laser pistol and command glove for support; and Benedict, an Aviant who relies on flying, rocket jumping and other aerial tactics.
Battleborn will allow for co-op with five friends both in split-screen (albeit with two players on each screen) and online play. You can also opt to control one of the 25 heroes in the campaign by yourself or take part in three competitive modes involving 10 players overall.
