Battlefield 2042 Will Use Easy Anticheat – Rumour

Multiplayer shooters have been plagued by widespread issues with cheating of late, and it seems DICE is taking measures against that.

Pretty much every major multiplayer shooter out there, from Apex Legends to Call of Duty: Warzonehas been dealing with widespread issues related to cheating, and that, as you might imagine, has been something of a nuisance for large chunks of players. Many have been disgruntled over how some games in particular (such as Call of Duty) have failed to address the issue in a satisfactory manner, but it seems DICE is certainly taking some measures to ensure that cheating doesn’t become too much of an issue in the upcoming Battlefield 2042.

As reported on Twitter by known insider Tom Henderson, Battlefield 2042 will be using the Easy Anticheat software, which allegedly is evident in the game’s closed technical play test as well. Easy Anticheat is definitely one of the more widely used third party anti-cheat softwares out there, and though it’s not perfect in its applications, it’s definitely better than something. Of course, this is yet to be officially confirmed by DICE or EA.

Battlefield 2042 launches for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
