Battlefield 5 Medic Parameters And Supply Station Locations Are Still Being Worked On

DICE is still fine-tuning certain aspects of the game after feedback for the alpha.

Battlefield 5 was made playable to some players in alpha stage recently, and feedback has presumably been flooding into DICE on the game and some of its more specific aspects. One of the things that a few fans took note of was the amount of HP you get after taking damage, feeling that the high value rendered Medics kind of moot as a support unit, while the location of resupply stations has also been a talking point.

One fan on Twitter asked DICE’s Daniel Berlin, Battlefield’s franchise design director, questions about these things, also mentioning how the E3 footage of the game actually shows lower values for the aforementioned HP than the alpha itself, and asked about the fine-tuning for those aspects.

Berlin responded by saying that health values were indeed a little too high in the alpha, and that it was something that DICE was looking into, and that though the values will be reduced, what number specifically they will land on isn’t something the team has decided yet. Meanwhile, he also mentioned that the locations for resupply stations are also a part of the fine-tuning process, and that DICE are looking into feedback regarding that as well.

It’s certainly encouraging to know that the developers are taking feedback from the alpha into account- that’s what the alpha is for, after all. It remains to be seen whether it will have a positive impact on the final product. Battlefield V launches on October 16 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
