DICE has been doing a great deal of tweaking and fine-tuning on Battlefield 5 based on its recent open beta, from things such as spawns and ammo, to adding spectator mode, to changing their stance – to some extent – on the game’s customization options. Recently, they put up an update on their official website, in which they detailed a few more changes that they will be making to the game.
For starters, DICE is making improvements to squad play and matchmaking, while TTK and TTD (Time To Kill and Time To Death) for automatic weapons are also being tweaked. The same also goes for vehicles, with damage states, movement, and weaponry for tanks being the are receiving the refinements in questions. Meanwhile, DICE is also looking to balance availability of health and ammo pickups better based on feedback.
Additionally, DICE is also working on improving visibility so that you can spot other players better, by tinkering with lighting, contrast, distant haze, and other things. Bleeding out and spawn times are also being adjusted to “make your virtual deaths as good as virtual deaths can be.” Finally, DICE are also making some changes to customization options – to make them more personalized – and the chat profanity filters on PC.
Battlefield 5 releases on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on November 20.
