Battlefield 5 Update Improves Server Stability, Fixes Locked Weapons Bug

Details for the next big patch are expected to be released later today.

A new server-side update has gone live for DICE’s Battlefield 5. It doesn’t require downloading by players, but does make some necessary changes while the developer prepares its larger update. In this case, the server-side update provides tweaks like fixing a bug that locked some weapons for players who reached the right level.

Team balance at the beginning of rounds has also been tweaked so that both sides are more evenly matched. An issue that would result in players being disconnected when trying to join the server has also been fixed. Daily assignments that were completed previously can also be finished again if obtained on a different day, which is a nice change.

The full change log for the server-side update can be seen below. DICE has promised some details for its December 4th patch later today, and we’ll probably also get more information on Tides of War Chapter 1: Overture, the new map, and much more. A new War Story, “The Last Tiger”, will also be available on the same day.
