Battlefield 6 Dives Into Its Gunplay in First Chapter of New Video Series

This new series of updates is a great way to keep us in the loop about what’s coming to our favorite shooter, including upcoming changes.

Battlefield 6 has just dropped the first in a new series of updates about what’s cooking in the studio, and what to expect as it attempts to refine the gameplay loop to make the shooter the best possible version of an already solid title.

EA’s best-seller of last year is continuing to evolve, and this new peek at all the changes it’s bringing to the table is all about your guns and the way you’re encouraged to use them. Beginning with a more refined recoil system geared towards making weapons feel as close to the real thing as possible, there are also changes to how each weapon feels in your hands that could make choosing between them a real challenge. There are adjustments to your time-to-kill, with different body parts on your enemies getting either a buff or a nerf to the damage you’re able to do.

Taking on enemies at range or up close is going to give you varying results, making the entire loop feel like you’re right in the middle of the action, which is quite a good thing for a game designed around placing you in intense combat situations. All in all, this one’s a promising start to a new chapter of Battlefield 6, and we can’t wait for these changes to hit the game after they spend a while in testing.
