Battlefield 6 Introduces A Familiar Call of Duty: Ghosts Mechanic to Cap Off Season 3

Field Orders, Contracts- call it what you want. But that’s not the only thing coming with an update that has a lot to fix.

Season 3 of Battlefield 6 has seen a busy few months for the popular shooter. There was that memorable trailer to kick things off while ago, while Blastpoint brought back Obliteration to the game, aside from new maps and new ways to experience the chaos of a battlefield.

Well, things are about to get a tad more exciting, especially if you’re a Call of Duty: Ghosts player (as rare as those may be). If Field Orders sound familiar to you, the new High-Value Target update is bringing that back, although it’s being called Contracts in this one. You basically pick up a mid-mission objective off a dead enemy, the completion of which awards you with currently undisclosed rewards. They’re part of the Wet Work event, and will be available on both the traditional multiplayer modes and the free-to-play RedSec.

Aside from that, the new update will address various issues, add a new menu that will make tracking event-based objectives and rewards a whole lot easier, and provide changes to gunplay and vehicles. For the former, there will be tweaks to recoil, handling, bullet dispersion, limb damage, and bullet velocity and drag. As for the latter, Thermal Smoke isn’t going to counter C4 anymore, while your RPGs are going to be a lot more potent against tanks and helicopters. The automated AA when you spawn in isn’t going to be as useful as it’s been up until now, too.

Well, that’s quite the list, and we can’t wait to see how this one pans out once it drops on June 30, 2026.
