Bayonetta 3 to Have Naive Angel Mode as an Option to Censor the Game’s Racier Content

Leading up to Bayonetta 3's release, PlatinumGames has announced that the game will feature a Naive Angel Mode as an optional censorship option.

PlatinumGames has revealed that Bayonetta 3 will ship with a “revolutionary” new mode. Dubbed Naive Angel Mode, the mode essentially acts as a censor to hide some of the racier contents of the upcoming action game.

The studio has released a short video on Twitter demonstrating Naive Angel Mode, stating that by turning it on, players can play the game in the living room without having to worry about what’s on the screen.

Bayonetta 3‘s special edition, dubbed the Trinity Masquerade Edition, was recently unveiled. Alongside a copy of the game, the Trinity Masquerade Edition will include a full colour 200-page art book, and three reversible game sleeves.

Nintendo recently announced Bayonetta 3‘s release date. Exclusive to the Nintendo Switch, the game will be coming out on October 28. Alongside the release date, Nintendo also released a new gameplay trailer featuring over-the-top action.

Bayonetta 3 puts players in control of the titular witch, and is one of the most well-regarded action franchises out there. Like Bayonetta 2, there don’t seem to be any plans to release Bayonetta 3 on non-Nintendo platforms. The original Bayonetta, however, is playable on all platforms.
