Bayonetta 3

After its ESRB and PEGI ratings emerged yesterday, PlatinumGames’ Bayonetta 3 has finally received a release date. It’s out on October 28th for Nintendo Switch. Check out the latest gameplay trailer below which showcases the insane, over-the-top action the franchise is known for.

Bayonetta 3 features the titular witch and companions like Jeanne. However, a new playable character named Viola makes her way to the fold. Armed with a demon cat Summon, she fights with a katana and knives while also using a grappling hook. We also see some of the new enemies – artificial bioweapons called Homunculi.

Along with controlling different Summons in kaiju-esque battles, Bayonetta can combine with them and take on new forms with Demon Masquerade. There’s a lot to dissect but for the most part, fans can still look forward to crazy set pieces (including one turret sequence against a monster pursuing a train). Stay tuned for more details and gameplay in the coming months.
