At long last, we finally know when Bayonetta 3 will be releasing. First announced way back in 2017, PlatinumGames and Nintendo’s highly anticipated action title re-emerged after a long period of radio silence last September, when it was confirmed that it would be out in 2022. Now, Nintendo has announced an October release date for the game, and to go alongside that, they’ve also unveiled a special edition.
Called the Trinity Masquerade Edition, it’s looking like a proper collector’s item indeed, based on what Nintendo has shared so far. The package will, of course, include a copy of the game itself, and on top of that, it will also come with a full colour 200-page artbook, as well as three reversible game sleeves, each representing a title from the Bayonetta trilogy. The three sleeves will apparently combine to form a panaromic artwork.
In its press release, Nintendo says more details on the Trinity Masquerade Edition and its pre-orders will be revealed at a later date.
Bayonetta 3 launches exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on October 28.
