The original Bayonetta is one of the greatest action games of all time, and definitely one of the best games of the previous generation. Its sequel, Bayonetta 2, which came out exclusively on the Wii U, is arguably even better- but the original game is a stunning tour de force of great action game design that everyone definitely needs to experience at least once.
So it’s excellent news that it will now be playable on the Xbox One, thanks to Microsoft’s backwards compatibility feature. The Xbox 360 version of the game (at the time the best version, before the Wii U remaster turned out to be even better) is now playable on Xbox One consoles (and also on sale on the Xbox Store, so even more people than before can be exposed to its greatness).
It’s not the only game added to the backwards compatibility list, either- other new entries over the past 24 hours include de Blob 2, Arkanoid Live!, QIX++, and Of Orcs and Men, bringing the total number of Xbox 360 games playable on the Xbox One to over 230.
Keep at it, Microsoft. You’re doing well, here. You’re doing really well.
