Bethesda seems to be in a pretty weird spot nowadays. From some major delays to whatever in the bloody hell is going on with Fallout 76 right now, there’s a lot of things that’s just hard to figure out looking from the outside. One thing less so, though, is the company growing its mobile business. And today a new, logical step came as they acquired a developer in the space, Alpha Dog.
The announcement came via a press release issued by both companies. In it Bethesda confirmed that they purchased the company and that Alpha Dog will now work with their new owner with a focus on iOS and Android titles.
Bethesda has gotten more into the mobile space over the last few years. With games like Fallout Shelter, Elder Scrolls: Blades and Elder Scrolls Legends all either being made with mobile in mind or coming to that space down the road. It’ll be interesting to see what other titles they will develop as time goes on.
