If recent reports are anything to go by, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will be coming out on the Wii U as well when it releases at the end of this year.
Leaked scans from gaming mag Nintendo Gamer show Black Ops 2 on the Wii U, but it’s unclear whether those images weren’t taken from the Xbox 360, PS3 or PC versions. Wii U’s GamePad support is also unknown at the moment.
We wouldn’t be surprised if Black Ops 2 did release on the Wii U as a launch title. It’s likely to come out on all other systems like CoD games usually do. Heck, a Black Ops spinoff was even announced for the PS Vita at E3. However, if this is true, why wasn’t it shown at Nintendo’s miserable E3 presser?
Treyarch is looking to surprise people with their upcoming CoD installment and try something new, something the franchise hasn’t done for a long time.
Other titles on the Wii U include New Super Mario Bros. U, Pikmin 3, ZombiU, a secret Platinum Games project and a host of third party titles. A release date for the system is not yet know, but it’s likely to come out this December.
