Borderlands 3 On PC Will Feature Denuvo Tech

Not been the best day for the PC version of the hotly anticipated shooter.

Borderlands 3 is, without question, one of the most anticipated titles coming out. Its arrival next month has been something fans have been itching to get to for a good while. Players on PC may have to bite their lip a little, though, as some annoyances are popping up. First came news that the game won’t have preload option, since the Epic Games Store – where it will be timed-exclusive – does not have the feature. Now another frustration is about to pop up in an anti-cheat program PC players are going to know well.

The game’s page updated on the Epic Game Store to reveal that game will feature Denuvo Anti-Tamper DRM. The program has become pretty common, but it’s controversial to those who play on PC, largely because of the way it uses resources, and others saying it’s not effective since the program gets cracked within weeks (if not days) after a game’s release anyway. Either way, it seems to be there for better or worse.

Borderlands 3 releases on September 13 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. And hey, there may be a lot of annoyances, but it won’t take up too much space, at least- so, you know, that’s something.
