Being the pioneer of the current loot shooter craze, it goes without saying that the upcoming Borderlands 3 is going to have a lot of loot. The reveal trailer promised billions of guns (literally). But one thing about the previous games that many remember is that loot wasn’t a universal pick up, meaning even in the co-op experience it meant haggling over who got what (or just stealing it from your friends by getting there first even if they called it).
It seems that aspect of the game will be changing, if you want it to. Matt Cox, the Lead Boss Designer for the game, said on twitter players will have the option to have their own personal loot stream if they chose.
You can still play the classic way however, if you feel like rushing to get a gun to upset your buddy like the good old times.
Borderlands 3 releases on September 13th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (as timed Epic Game Stores exclusive). In the meantime, you can check out the series roots with the recently released GOTY version of the original game, available for the same platforms.
