Not all rumours, especially those leading up to E3, turn out to be false. Months of suspicion later, Treyarch has indeed confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be receiving a Battle Royale mode called Blackout. Check out the announcement trailer below.
Along with featuring a map that’s 1500 times bigger than Nuketown, Blackout will include land, sea and air vehicles for players to command. All your favourite Black Ops characters will also be included along with equipment like the RCX-D and wingsuit. Treyarch didn’t offer much information on whether it would be coming to Nintendo Switch as well as Xbox One, PS4 and PC or function as a separate game. Heck, we don’t even know how many players will be in one match.
One thing is for sure though – Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 won’t have a traditional single-player campaign. Instead, the various Specialists will have tutorial missions of sorts revealing their backstories. The game releases on October 12th for all platforms but what are your thoughts so far?
