Call of Duty: Ghosts Features Dedicated Servers on Xbox One

Infinity Ward's shooter takes advantage of the Xbox One's Cloud service.

In Microsoft’s pre-Gamescom press briefing, Activision has confirmed that Call of Duty: Ghosts on the Xbox One will have dedicated servers which take advantage of the Cloud.

The publisher also debuted a new map – Chasm – and a new mode – Blitz – for multiplayer. Dog soldiers, drone choppers, invisibility cloaks and other new features for multiplayer were seen, with Chasm taking place in the abandoned ruins of a city.

Microsoft revealed that there will be a Call of Duty: Ghosts premium console bundle, which include the game, an Xbox One, Kinect and exclusive bonus DLC, although it has not indicated a release date or price for the same. Call of Duty: Ghosts is currently slated to release on November 5th for Wii U, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC with next gen releases on Xbox One and PS4 also upcoming.

It bears the question as to whether there will be dedicated servers (albeit those that don’t take advantage of the Cloud) on PS4.
