Activision recently revealed Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, with its full reveal coming on August 17th. As rumored for months, it’s a follow-up to last year’s Modern Warfare 2 and features Makarov as the antagonist. While several details are still unknown, it seems the upcoming beta will go live, as is tradition, for PlayStation first.
CharlieIntel discovered that the recent teaser trailer on Sony’s Arabic YouTube channel lists the “demo” as coming first to PlayStation. It will be available “at least five days before” any other platforms, with pre-orders providing access to an early beta. If this is like previous years, pre-ordering the PlayStation version will grant early access to the first beta weekend exclusive to PS4 and PS5.
The subsequent weekend’s beta usually includes pre-orders for other platforms before the open beta. While not confirmed, reports indicate that the beta will launch in October, with PS4 and PS5 players gaining access from October 6th to 10th, while PC and Xbox can access it from October 12th to 16th.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is out on November 10th and confirmed for PC, Xbox One and PS4.
