It’s looking incredibly likely now that a remaster of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (or its single player campaign, at the very least) will be announced and released soon, as evidence after evidence continues to pile on top of each other following a flurry of recent leaks. With the first two games in the Modern Warfare trilogy having been remastered in that event, it seems Activision won’t be stopping there.
YouTuber TheGamingRevolution – who’s been quite active of late, and has a solid track record as far as Activision and Call of Duty-related leaks are concerned – recently took to Twitter and said that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Remastered is also in the works at Activision- and has been “for a while now,” in fact.
Though this is far from an official announcement, it would fall in line with Activision’s previous statements about various remastered releases, while it also wouldn’t be much of a stretch to assume that following the first and (presumably) second Modern Warfare games have been remastered, they will want to move on to the third.
Either way, we’ll keep you updated as and when new info comes our way, so stay tuned. In the meantime, there have been leaks surrounding Call of Duty 2020 as well, which you can read about through here.
