The first weekly UK physical charts for 2020 are in, courtesy of UKIE and GSD, and Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is on top. This is despite sales dropping all around. Though this week’s chart ending January 4th contains a lot of familiar names, it also has a few new ones.
For instance, Gearbox’s Borderlands 3 is back up at fourth place thanks to discounts following Christmas. Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training debuted in 14th place for Nintendo Switch, being the only new title for the week. As per GamesIndustry.biz, sales are up 15 times over its predecessor, Devilish Brain Training, from the Nintendo 3DS era.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order rose slightly to second place while FIFA 20 fell to third. Despite Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training missing the top ten, numerous other Switch titles like Luigi’s Mansion 3, Mario Kart 8: Deluxe and Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 managed to chart.
