Activision and Infinity Ward keep dropping little tidbits of information about the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Earlier we got a quick look at the customization options we’ll have, which will be different from what we grew to love in the past. Now, though, something more familiar is coming back.
Ahead of the full multiplayer unveiling that will happen on August 1st, the official Call of Duty Twitter revealed that something familiar would be coming back (no, not familiar faces, though there will that as well), with killstreaks. The series had moved past those, instead opting for scorestreaks, bonuses you got based on your score over your kill count. Well, Modern Warfare is going old school in making it all about the kills again, as well as bringing back some older perks, like Juggernaut. Along with it the tweet reveals White Phosphorus, Care Package, and Infantry Assault Tank.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will release October 25th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The multiplayer reveal will happen August 1st, so stay tuned.
