The combo of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone is quite something. One is the annual paid entry in the long running, and seemingly financially immortal, shooter series, and the other is a free to play battle royale game that shares much of the same DNA- and the two together have seen some incredible success. Warzone‘s entry fee is obviously much lower than Modern Warfare, but if you’re curious about it, Warzone players can sample the latter this weekend.
As announced on the series’ official Twitter, those who have jumped into Warzone but haven’t paid the fee for the full Modern Warfare experience can try 5 maps free of charge this weekend, starting tomorrow. The five maps are Aniyah Incursion, Hovec Sawmill, Khandor Hideout, Shoot House, and Talsik Backlot.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone are available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The free maps will run from April 24th to 27th. You can read about rumors swirling about the 2020 Call of Duty release through here.
